Waquis was incorporated in July, 2000. We are headquartered in Washington state and completely US owned.

 

 

Initially, Waquis was created as a global IT solutions company with a processing center in Bangalore, India. However, the company switched disciplines and focus in 2003 to the mortgage and banking industry. Many of our managers and processors came from leading national banks and mortgage lenders.  At the same time, we developed an internal training program for processors, underwriters, and auditors.

 

 

In February, 2007 we shifted all global operations to Colombo, Sri Lanka for many logistical and

financial reasons.

 

 

Currently, we have almost 200 employees working at our processing center in Colombo, Sri Lanka and a smaller staff of underwriters, operational, and business development professionals working out of our offices in Portland and Hood River, Oregon.

 

 

We never use independent contractors and everyone is an employee of Waquis. We  recruit employees with a financial background and provide extensive mortgage training.
